If you are looking for a new home and can’t decide on the exact location, then have you considered Slough?
We are not going to pretend that Slough’s reputation hasn’t suffered in the past – with the words by the famous poet John Betjeman still ringing in our ears. However, we believe that the town has a lot to offer and with so much regeneration underway, it’s an exciting place to be right now. What’s more, its great connections mean that you have Heathrow airport on your doorstep and a direct train route into London Paddington, with journey times into the Capital taking less than 15 minutes! And that’s before the arrival of Crossrail.
Slough is currently undergoing huge regeneration, with new leisure facilities, improved school facilities and more homes for local people, already being delivered here. The town also regularly tops the polls when it comes to employment opportunities (Slough was voted Best Place to Live and Work three years in a row by employment specialists Glassdoor), making it a great place to work too.
Since Slough Urban Renewal (SUR), was established over seven years ago, the partnership, which is a joint venture between Slough Borough Council and Muse Developments, has delivered some significant assets for the town, from The Curve, Slough’s iconic and award-winning library and cultural centre (which is situated across the road from us at Novus Apartments) to The Centre, a new flagship £18 million leisure facility.
If you want to find out a bit more about what SUR has delivered for the town and why we think it offers so much, take a look at ‘Our Story’ our seven year case study, which you can access here.
